The Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Program works with the Air Force Survivor Assistance Program, Airman & Family Readiness Centers, and the Air Force Medical Service to provide concentrated non-medical care and support for combat wounded, ill and injured Airmen (and their families) as they recover and transition back to duty or into civilian life.Enrollment and Travel Support SpecialistEnrollment and Travel Support Specialist manages and provides resources and knowledge of the Enrollment and Travel Support (EATSS) enrollment process. WII Cell Specialist manages program enrollment and eligibility information from multiple sources, reviews/assesses applications for enrollment and assigns eligible Airmen to a designated case manager. EAS Specialist supports Emergency Family Member Travel (EFMT) orders for the families of Airmen in the WII program.Job Duties:
  • Ability to complete, track, and process all referrals for enrollment consideration in a timely manner.
  • Upon enrollment, required to complete the enrollment procedures and provide the information to the appropriate regional team lead/ team lead for assignment.
  • Assist in the development and reporting of metrics as required by the Air Force
  • Provide training to the Family Liaison Officer (FLO) and identifies them to the care management team when tasking out the referral.
  • Be the 24/7 on-call representative for EFMT orders one (1) week/month.
  • Responsible for distribution of authorizations to appropriate agencies and counseling travelers on reimbursable items, advance and partial pays, timelines for filing travel vouchers, etc.
  • Create the travel authorization in DTS for all Veteran, Guard/Reserve, and Caregiver, NOT on active orders
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Full understanding the program's eligibility criteria.
  • Perform duties as an Emergency Family Member Travel (EFMT) Coordinator
  • Have expertise in the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), travel policies, and the Defense Travel System (DTS). The EFMT Coordinator/Non-DTS Travel Agent (NDEA) will follow Stranded Operating Procedures (SOP) when creating travel itineraries/authorizations and will complete tasks within the time outlined in the SOP to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum of three years of real work experience in human resources
