Our collaboration extends across a diverse array of programs and platforms, including major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for ensuring the quality of production by aligning Quality activities with the company's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and the Business Management System (BMS). Coach and mentor, a team of Quality Engineers and Project Leads through various activities as they relate to quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, and compliance processes. Identify and resolve potential non-conformances by participating in material review board huddles and leading the corrective action process. Drive continuous improvement activities by collecting and analyzing data on product defects and process metrics.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach and mentor, a team of Quality Engineers/Project Leads through various activities as they relate to quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, compliance, and continuous improvement projects.
- Review TIER 3 (Full Proposal) customer proposals for QMS compliance and resource requirements.
- Identify and resolve potential non-conformances by participating in material review board huddles.
- Drive continuous improvement activities by collecting and analyzing data on product defects and process metrics.
- Provide customer service as it relates to Quality Assurance to internal and external customers.
- Manage team resources to strive for efficiency in day to day activities.
- Collect, analyze and drive improvement for departmental
- Objectives and Key Results through the use of metrics/KPl's.
- Serve as the Corrective Action Review Board chair and ensure integrity in the Corrective Action process.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 10+ years of quality leadership experience, ideally within aerospace and defense
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings (GD&T)
- Advanced understanding of AS9100, ANSI, ASME, and other industry standards
- Familiarity with government and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience across diverse manufacturing processes
- Experience with Quality Engineering tools (e.g., Cause Map, FMEA)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and build scalable processes
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentations
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of inspection methods
- Familiarity with SAP
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt)
- ASQ certifications (CSQP, CQE, CMQ/OE)
- Medium-to-large office setting
- Fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere
