JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for performing the highly skilled, discipline specific, tasks required to ensure the smooth operation of Universal Orlando Facilities as it pertains to all industrial, commercial and non-commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform service on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, supply/exhaust fans, pumps, valves, piping and associated controls and accessories site wide. Assist with quick calls and assist BMS with BAS troubleshooting and repairs.
Troubleshoot, maintain, repair or replace all mechanical components in walk in freezers, coolers, rack systems and associated controls and accessories site wide.
Provide mechanical and technical guidance and expertise to HVAC Tech II and Tech III technicians and HVAC apprentices to continually improve the education, experience and skill set within the department.
Interface, communicate and oversee with third party contractors/vendors with infrastructure repairs, upgrades, repair or replacement of HVAC/R equipment, underground mechanical utilities as required by management site wide.
Assist with preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems as required site wide.
Interface with BMS department to modify set points or change BAS schedules as requested by customers or management. Assist BMS department with emergency troubleshooting or repairs as needed site wide.
Assist Coordinator by providing proper documents for ordering parts as needed for equipment.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required
Technical school is preferred
Associate’s degree (AA) is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:5+ years Commercial / Industrial HVAC/R systems including building automation systems, boilers, chillers and associated equipment is required.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
A valid Florida Driver’s License is required to operate company vehicles.
(EPA) Universal Refrigerant Certificate is required.
A State or County Journeyman’s License, County Competency Card or State Certified Contractor’s License is required.
