*Manage events and meetings for departments within the company including leadership, Community Engagement andother ad hoc request *Support employee engagement initiatives by planning and executing companywide events
*Build timelines, project plans and event requirements from set up to breakdown, including evaluations for attendeesand any metric-driven measures to report *Track, allocate and manage budgets associated with events
*Build agendas in partnership with teams, coordinate speakers , track and maintain attendance
*Identify and source vendors that meet the best combination of quality and cost
*Negotiate terms and cost associated with venues, vendors or suppliers
*Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
*Coordinate participation in external community events that have a WellSense sponsorship or requested presence
*Work with WellSense design and brand teams to ensure events are in brand and accurately reflect the Company
*Manage internal, employee-focused promotions and initiativesSupervision Exercised
*Ability to lead volunteer staff through on-site event operations and logistic
*Ability to lead outsourced components to fulfill event or meeting executionSupervision Received
*Guidance and direction from different levels of organizationEducation Required
- Degree in hospitality management or related field or equivalent years of experience
*Hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferredExperience Required: (Minimum years of experience in business, a specific field, or both)
*At least five (5) years of event or meeting planningExperience Preferred/Desirable:
*More than seven (7) years of event or meeting planningRequired Licensure, Certification or Conditions of Employment:
*Successful completion of pre-employment background checkCompetencies, Skills, and Attributes:
- Effective collaborative and proven process improvement skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects, events and meetings
- Track record of organizing successful events
- Ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Motivated, organized self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent vendor management skills and resourcing practices
- Well organized with multitasking skills
- Able to handle stress and remain calm
- Problem-solving ability and able to remain calm under complex or stressful situations
- Detail oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position
- Work is normally performed remotely at your home office and on location of event or meeting
- Domestic travel for event and/or meeting purpose including Corporate Office location, 100 City Square, Boston, MA and community events or other sponsorship events.
