Summary/ObjectiveResponsible for keeping assigned premises clean and orderly. The Environmental Services Technician, under the direction of the Environmental Services Lead is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting. He/she performs a variety of routine cleaning functions as assigned, to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition throughout all areas.Essential Functions/Primary Job ResponsibilitiesCleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g. classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, grounds, residential homes, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies (e.g. paper towels, soap, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring adequate quantities for daily use.Cleaning may include, but is not limited to, removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, buffing, cleaning carpets, washing windows scrubbing floors and ceilings, and sanitizing restrooms.Picks up litter and debris on outside grounds.Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposalPerform periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.Communicates effectively and professionally with all staff members within the department and company.Reports light outages and other maintenance needs to supervisor.Adheres to rules and standards regarding health and safety.Assist with staff or outside groups using the building for programs, special events or assemblies.
