Job Title: Medical Science Liaison - Radiology (Southeast Region)Pay: $58-$60.5/hr depending on education and experience level
Location: Remote - Up to 50% travel within assigned territory (minimal overnight travel)Position Summary:The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Radiology serves as a key scientific and medical expert in the field, supporting healthcare providers, researchers, and internal stakeholders through high-quality scientific exchange and education. This individual will provide balanced, objective, and timely medical information on radiology products and disease states, helping ensure the safe and effective use of the company's offerings.The MSL is responsible for developing strong relationships with national and regional thought leaders, supporting medical education strategies, facilitating scientific discussions, and providing clinical insights that inform internal strategies. This role will require delivery of education via in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats and will represent the company at medical meetings and conferences.Responsibilities:1. Scientific Expertise & Professional DevelopmentComplete core training curriculum and MSL certificationStay current with scientific literature and therapeutic area developmentsAttend medical conferences and participate in journal clubsMaintain professional licensure and continuing education as applicable2. Scientific Exchange & EducationRespond accurately and compliantly to unsolicited professional information requests (PIRs)Deliver presentations and scientific data to external and internal audiencesCollaborate with Medical Communications and adhere to FDA and company guidelines for dissemination of medical informationContribute to development of scientific materials for both internal training and external use3. Thought Leader EngagementIdentify, validate, and build relationships with regional and national thought leaders (TLs)Support investigator-initiated research (IIRs) and identify research sitesParticipate in speaker training, advisory boards, workshops, and expert panelsFacilitate engagement between TLs and senior internal stakeholders4. Clinical & Strategic SupportIdentify unmet medical needs and clinical challenges in radiology settingsProvide clinical insights to support protocol adaptations and alternative diagnostic approachesDifferentiate the value and features of the radiology product portfolio through scientific discussionCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Commercial)5. Market & Competitive IntelligenceMonitor and report on competitive activity and market trendsProvide field insights to inform commercial segmentation and strategySupport scientific discussions around data gaps and opportunities for further researchQualifications:Advanced scientific degree required: PharmD, MD, PhD, MBBS, or equivalentStrong knowledge of radiology, imaging modalities, or relevant therapeutic areas preferredDemonstrated experience delivering scientific information in a compliant and engaging mannerAbility to work independently in a field-based environment with frequent travelExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsStrong organizational and collaboration abilitiesKey Relationships:Healthcare providers, radiologists, researchers, and academic expertsMedical DirectorsClinical Development TeamU.S. Clinical Performance TeamCommercial Teams (Sales, Portfolio Managers, Strategic Account Managers, Channel Management)Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
