We are committed to an inclusive workplace that respects the differences of all members of the team.About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Player-Coach to lead the modernization of our platform, mentor other developers, and help set the technical foundation for future growth.This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will work closely with the CEO and other developers to ship high-quality software while building scalable, AI-integrated engineering processes. If you enjoy leading by doing, modernizing systems incrementally, and using AI tools to work smarter, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • You’ll be our bridge technical leader:
  • Hands-on building and shipping features end-to-end.
  • Leading modernization of our Python/JS codebase, while keeping features moving.
  • Leveraging AI (Claude, code assistants, prompt engineering) to speed development, automate repetitive tasks, and improve documentation/testing.
  • Handling light DevOps on our Ubuntu/Postgres environment, leaning on automation and managed services to keep ops overhead low.
  • Setting a technical foundation for a larger team post-funding.
What you’ll do Includes
  • Design, code, test, and deploy features across the stack.
  • Establish best practices — coding standards, branching strategies, and documentation that scale with team growth.
  • Mentor other developers — code reviews, pair programming, AI-assisted learning.
  • Collaborate with CEO to align technical priorities with business goals.
About You
  • Have 7+ years in full-stack software development, ideally in Python + modern JS.
  • Have experience modernizing legacy codebases without halting feature delivery.
  • Are comfortable with Ubuntu/Linux ops, Postgres, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Have used AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub, Copilot, etc.) and can integrate them into a team’s workflow.
  • Are comfortable mentoring other engineers.
  • Can balance speed and quality in a startup environment.
