This management role is an individual contributor who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment. This role will help instill marketing financial and campaign planning processes excellence while helping steward ANDMORE’s marketing financial data to ensure efficient and effective execution of marketing planning, reporting and financial decision making.As Senior Manager of Marketing Investment Analytics and Planning, you report into the Marketing Operations team, and will serve as a key advisor across the marketing organization, providing financial insights, planning, and decision support to drive internal/client presentations, marketing effectiveness and ROI measurement. This role will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and business cases (including preparation of sales material, campaign proforma’s and financial planning documents).You'll bey a key member of our marketing operations team and contribute to the evolution of our marketing financial data stewardship, marketing performance reporting and marketing planning efforts moving forward.Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans
  • Track and report on marketing spend, ROI, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including accruals, variance analysis, and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with marketing business goals
  • Help develop business cases for new marketing investments and capital spend
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements
  • Automation of data feed to create financials, metrics and dashboards
  • Monitor and manage transaction processing and reconciliation as needed in partnership with corporate finance team
Budget Reporting, Analysis & ROI Measurement
  • Manage and analyze comprehensive marketing budgets with accountability for accuracy and meaningfully organized reporting and insights
  • Partner with performance marketing and analytics teams to provide relevant financial information collaborating to track and measure ROI of marketing initiatives with sophisticated attribution modeling and performance measurement
  • Support senior leadership by managing and optimizing the budget planning frameworks that align marketing investment with business growth objectives
  • Analyze and manage the implementation of cost control measures and efficiency improvements that maximize marketing budget impact and align with senior marketing leadership directives
Data Analytics & Strategic Insights
  • Analyze financial and marketing data to identify trends, measure performance, and inform strategic marketing decisions with a focus on investment and spend analysis.
  • Partner with performance marketing and analytics teams to deliver integrated advanced analytics that provide actionable insights into buyer and seller behavior across all channels supported by key financial data
  • Champion marketing financial data-driven decision making through comprehensive reporting and analytics that inform strategic marketing initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with other marketing functions, sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Communicate marketing strategies and performance updates to senior leadership and stakeholders with executive-level presentations
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that integrate marketing operations with broader business objectives
  • Serve as strategic advisor to executive leadership on marketing operations strategy and performance
Process Optimization & Strategic Leadership
  • Identify and implement improvements in marketing budget and financial management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Execute marketing operations strategies that align with overall business goals and market expansion objectives
  • Drive adoption of accurate and meaningful financial data management and classification
  • Participate in marketing operations processes, governance, and best practices development with a focus on financial management and analysis best practices that ensure scalability and consistency
Candidate ProfileWe're seeking a detail-oriented marketing finance professional with a proven track record of managing, optimizing and structuring marketing financial reporting and integrating with marketing operations at high-growth companies. The ideal candidate combines deep financial expertise with a strong understanding of marketing functions and operations. You are comfortable working and collaborating alongside teams that are focused on data-driven marketing strategies with experience helping craft business cases including the development and management of campaign proforma and integrated measurement plans focused on actionable ROI.You are a natural collaborator and bridge builder, comfortable partnering closely with our Marketing and Finance teams. You will serve as the marketing functions subject matter expert for all things related to the marketing budget including revenue modeling, spend analysis and measurement of investment (ROI). You are comfortable providing financial insights, planning, and decision support to drive marketing effectiveness and ROI. This role will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and business cases.The ideal candidate brings a unique combination of financial and business acumen, with the ability to understand or speak the marketing language fluently. You are focused on connecting financial investments with strategic marketing outcomes, but also comfortable managing a budget with excellence. Most importantly, you thrive on well-organized and connected marketing financial data that helps lead to the best decisions possible for the company.
  • Exceptional financial planning and analysis capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into informative narratives and meaningful reporting for business decision making
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with expertise in financial analysis, an understanding of marketing analytics and performance measurement
  • Strong experience managing and preparing or heavily contributing to marketing proforma’s and campaign planning documents tied to complex marketing budgets and reporting requirements
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a matrixed team environment, in and outside of your core team
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills suitable for executive level strategic discussions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business, engineering or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, marketing operations, or related analytical roles
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing marketing budgets and financial performance reporting related to marketing investment
  • Proven track record of operational excellence and optimization related to financial/marketing budget and planning operations
  • Experience managing the development and execution of regularly cadenced budget reporting in close collaboration with a marketing team or client
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Hyperion preferred
  • Ability to align and categorize financial data with business needs to help drive operational understanding and efficiency
  • Experience in media planning, media investment or advertising planning preferred
  • Strong marketing business acumen preferred
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance operations including forecasting, budgeting and financial planning strongly preferred
