The Strategic Data Analyst (SDA) is a competent, experienced professional that fulfills their role with little supervision while demonstrating growing skill and ability resulting in excelled practice autonomy. This individual serves as a primary resource to obtain information and data essential in operational and strategic business function. The SDA has an in-depth knowledge of data extraction, data processing and a specialized knowledge of database infrastructure and flat file development. Responsible for compiling, formatting and displaying accurate data using various reporting tools that contributes vital information conducive to established and aligned strategic goals. Demonstrable knowledge of complex data validation is essential.The SDA understands data abstraction, definition and analyses and selects appropriate statistical methods while effectively managing his or her own portfolio of projects and tasks. Development in SSIS, SSRS or other programming languages, quality assurance validation ensuring maximized functionality is expected. The analyst collaborates with service lines within the organization including but not limited to other departments of support, operations and finance. Providing solutions for the betterment of the organization with a thorough data knowledge, familiarity of concepts and practices within the health care environment with a strong emphasis on business and data intelligence is required.Education, Work Experience and Licensure:· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Computing or Accounting related field· 2+ years' experience required in data abstraction and/or data analytics
