This team owns products that power these capabilities across several international markets, delivering impact worth hundreds of millions of dollars.Your OpportunityWe're seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of next-generation platforms with a focus on scalability, robustness, and security. These platforms will support marketing, ad delivery, and customer engagement across multiple billion-dollar markets. You'll tackle complex business challenges spanning geographies, user bases, and data ecosystems.Your Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing engineering team to build and deploy cutting-edge platforms.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define product roadmaps.
  • Partner with global business stakeholders to drive execution of strategic plans.
  • Optimize software development processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication across cross-functional teams.
  • Uphold company values, ethics, and standards.
  • Align business objectives with technical solutions through strategic collaboration.
  • Engage with Walmart engineering teams globally to share knowledge and drive innovation.
  • Apply technical expertise to design and implement strategic solutions.
  • Work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions within established guidelines.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, quality standards, and non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain operational rigor for consistent execution.
Your Qualifications
  • B.E./B.Tech/MS/PhD in Engineering (Computer Science preferred).
  • 12+ years of experience building scalable, resilient systems.
  • 3+ years in engineering leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading GenAI initiatives and PoCs.
  • Strong foundation in CS fundamentals, microservices, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with Java (mandatory), plus Node.js or Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), CI/CD tools, relational (MySQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB), and big data technologies (Kafka, Spark).
  • Focus on operational and engineering excellence.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and product/project management.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
  • Demonstrated ownership of cloud-based projects and platform development.
  • Ability to drive change and adapt quickly to emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
  • Emphasis on reusable frameworks, patterns, and tools for faster development.
  • Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
