JOB SUMMARY:We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This role involves the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of agricultural equipment, including but not limited to balers, swathers, tractors, and combines. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on individual with a strong mechanical aptitude. Training is available for the right candidate who is willing to learn and expand into working on additional equipment, including trucks and other machinery.REPRESENTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
  • Inspects trucks and/or equipment, for condition, operation, parts and fluid levels.
  • Checks, fills and changes out appropriate fluids for all vehicle parts including engine, transmission, differentials, final drives, pump drives and hubs.
  • Greases, oils, and lubricates components during preventive maintenance service.
  • Performs adjustments to various systems during preventive maintenance service.
  • Maintains and/or changes air, oil, coolant and fuel filters.
  • Performs cooling systems maintenance.
  • Identifies and designates problems.
  • Completes necessary repair and preventive maintenance work.
  • Checks safety equipment on truck and/or equipment.
  • Drives truck in and out of repair area.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes required paperwork, documents parts and material usage and accounts for applied times (i.e. work order times versus time card times.)
  • Represent the Company Core Values and adheres to the guidelines of the Employee handbook on a daily basis to all internal and external customers.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The following physical activities or abilities are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position. The actual requirements of this position will vary.
  • Lift, carry and push/pull at least 50 pounds
  • Climb into and out of truck.
  • Work in the outside environment
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS:Required:
  • Valid driver license
  • Valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
Preferred:
  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D certification
  • Prior mechanic experience.
  • Automotive certification.
  • Service Excellence classification: medium/heavy truck
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a wide range of agricultural equipmen
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Participate in training sessions for new equipment and technology
