- Connect with Patients: Communicate with patients and caregivers to schedule deliveries and provide a 2-hour delivery window.
- Plan Your Route: Create efficient daily routes and ensure a copy is left at the base.
- Ensure Vehicle Safety: Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and cleaning according to policy, DOT, and regulatory standards.
- Keep Your Vehicle Stocked: Replenish vehicle par levels, stocking and documenting asset and lot numbers as required.
- Educate and Empower: Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on the proper and safe usage of DME equipment, and complete patient safety assessments.
- Deliver and Retrieve Equipment: Deliver and retrieve medical equipment and supplies in a home or institutional environment.
- Manage Inventory: Assist with inventory, documenting patient equipment, specialty items, and supplies.
- Document Your Work: Record patient and departmental issues, input data on delivery tickets and manifests, and complete all other required documentation.
- Maintain Equipment: Inspect, clean, and repair equipment per policy and regulatory standards.
- Provide On-Call Support: Participate in mandatory rotating on-call coverage.
- Basic knowledge of the function and use of a wide variety of DME products.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, family members, staff, other departments, and outside facilities.
