
Sustaining Engineering Manager (R&D)

- Manage a team of engineers executing Engineering Change Notices to maintain and improve product designs, mainly Panelboards and Switchboards
- Review ECNs regarding compliance with UL and NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements
- Be the Product Safety Committee Chair for Panelboards, Switchboards and LVS.
- Support internal and external customers with product and technical expertise as needed.
- Travel required will be less than 25%.
- Be a Qualified Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) for UL 891 and UL50/50E
- Be a Principal voting member on NEC code panel NFPA 70 (NEC) CMP 9
- Be a Member of NEMA group involved with panelboards, Switchboards and Enclosures
- Be a UL891 CANENA representative
- BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in Electrical Distribution products industry as well as 10+ years of experience in product design and/or research and development
- Strong knowledge of UL 67, UL 891 and NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Familiarity with UL 1558 and ANSI/IEEE C37.20.1
- Prior experience with codes and standards organizations including UL, CSA, NOM, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, or others
- Detail oriented, analytical thinker combined with strong organizational skills
- Team oriented personality who is able to support multiple projects simultaneously
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Master's in Engineering Management or Business Administration (MSEM or MBA).
- Prior management experience.
- The ability to prioritize and bring clarity to various, sometimes competing, viewpoints and options.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing systems including routings, bill of materials, sheet metal punching and bending, painting, plating, and assembly.
- Knowledge of CAD tools (Creo and Teamcenter)
- Proficient with MS-Office applications.
The pay range for this position is $132,650 - $227,400 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary.
