At Wilber Care Center "Caring Is Our Calling" and at the forefront of the care we provide is ensuring that our residents enjoy quality services. Apart from resident care, one of the top indicators for resident satisfaction is the food and meals served, and as a result, our dietary department plays a very important role. Our mission extends to our employees, as we know that HAPPY employees provide excellent services. We are currently looking for a PART TIME EVENING COOK to join our team!PART TIME 3-4 EVENINGS A WEEK 1PM-8:30PMResponsibilities Include:
  • Prepare and execute meals according to recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and serve substitute foods to residents upon request.
  • Collaborate with and lead dietary team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and delivery in accordance with dietary guidelines and portion control.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area.
  • Collaborate with dietary team to plan menus, provide creative insight for daily and seasonal specials, and ensure dietary restrictions are met.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory.
  • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.
  • Strictly adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure personal safety and safety of others.
  • Follow the policies and procedures of the facility in accordance with regulations.
  • Treat all residents with respect, enjoy the rewards of getting to know the people we serve and recognize the value YOU bring to their lives.
Requirements:
  • A great attitude, high standards for quality, customer-oriented, as well as a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • One (1) year of experience in food service or dietary role preferred, but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility, which include a medical and physical examination.
  • Must possess leadership ability to work collaboratively as a team with dietary department and work harmoniously with other personnel to ensure quality services for all residents.
  • Must be able to pass applicable background checks.
  • Weekend and holiday rotations required.
