- Obtain and document vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight).
- Assist in patient positioning, prepping, and draping for amniotic allograft placement and wound procedures.
- Support wound dressing changes, debridement procedures, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain and clean all medical supplies and tools after each patient visit.
- Operate a company vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and Restore First Health’s professional driving policy.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness—pre-gas and clean the exterior daily, and the interior weekly (or as needed).
- Pack necessary wound care medical supplies daily based on the patient schedule.
- Provide real-time ETA updates to the wound care team and notify patients before visits.
- Prioritize hands-free communication while driving and limit personal calls to emergencies only.
- Manage and track wound care supplies, ensuring availability for all patient visits.
- Replenish wound care kits and maintain organized “go bags” for efficient daily operations.
- Assist in processing wound care orders in collaboration with the provider and Practice Manager.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) documentation of wound treatments and patient interactions.
- Work with the Practice Manager to optimize the daily wound visit and consultation schedule.
- Confirm patient appointments the day before and provide estimated arrival times on the day of the visit.
- Coordinate wound care visits with primary care physicians (PCPs), specialists, and home health providers.
- Ensure all necessary wound care documentation, orders, and medical records are obtained and processed correctly.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), EMT, or Phlebotomy certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical practice setting, preferably in wound care.
- Experience with EMR systems (Athena preferred).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office operations, including Microsoft Office.
