Position OverviewBenshaw is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Documentation Specialist to support our Engineering and R&D teams in managing product documentation, CAD data, and technical records. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, organization, and governance of engineering data within Autodesk Vault and Inventor, enabling efficient design workflows, compliance with internal standards, and improved collaboration across departments.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Autodesk Vault Professional and Inventor, strong organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining structured, reliable documentation systems that are critical to Benshaw’s success in delivering world-class motor control solutions.Location: ONSITE Monday- Friday: Benshaw HQ- 615 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, organize, and maintain engineering documentation within Autodesk Vault Professional.Manage CAD file structures, metadata, lifecycle states, and revision controls.Support engineers and designers with Inventor model and drawing management.Enforce engineering CAD/documentation standards, templates, and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain) to ensure timely and accurate documentation release.Prepare, track, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and technical data packages.Assist with ECO (Engineering Change Order) processing and ensure proper archival of documentation.Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting for Vault and Inventor documentation processes.Generate reports and documentation audits to maintain accuracy, compliance, and completeness.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance document control processes and engineering efficiency.QualificationsRequired:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of professional experience in engineering documentation, data management, or CAD administration.Hands-on experience with Autodesk Vault Professional and Autodesk Inventor.Strong knowledge of CAD file structures, revision control, and data governance practices.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication skills and ability to support cross-functional teams.Preferred:Experience with additional Autodesk tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor libraries).Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems, ERP/MRP integration, or manufacturing documentation practices.Familiarity with engineering change management processes.Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.Powered by JazzHR
