- Improve and iterate new various optical systems or modules from R&D prototypes.
- Standardize optical module designs by engineering it using industrial software including Autodesk inventor, Zemax, and COMSOL.
- Set up and maintain test stations to validate standard optical modules.
- Collect feedback on optical modules from end users.
- Develop and de-risk critical optical components to enable next generation QPU.
- Mentor junior staff members
- Ph.D. in experimental physics or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong hands-on laboratory skills.
- Strong publication record or record of innovation and accomplishment, including patents or product development cycles.
- Experience leading the design of scientific instruments and apparatus.
- Deep domain expertise in the areas of optics, modulators, lasers, electronics, and ultra-high vacuum.
