Senior Software Engineer (Interoperability)

This role centers on building healthcare data interoperability solutions that connect electronic health systems through standards-based integrations. You'll lead development of backend services and data workflows supporting the exchange, transformation, and compliance of patient information. Ideal candidates will bring strong .NET experience, hands-on ETL integration skills, and deep knowledge of HL7/FHIR standards and AWS services.
Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience building enterprise applications with C#, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core
  • Hands-on experience designing healthcare interoperability solutions with HL7 and FHIR
  • Strong background developing ETL workflows and building integrations using Apache NiFi or similar technology
  • Proven experience with AWS services including:
  • Glue (ETL pipelines)
  • Lambda (event-driven functions)
  • S3 (secure storage)
  • RDS (relational databases)
  • API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS/SQS (messaging & integration)
  • Ability to design scalable microservices to support data exchange across EMRs, HIEs, and patient-facing platforms
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH, and secure data handling standards
Bonus/Soft Skills:
  • Experience with Apache NiFi v1.27+
  • Familiarity with AWS HealthLake or other FHIR-native data platforms
  • Background working on ROI, records release, or patient data management solutions
  • Experience with containerized environments and microservice orchestration
  • AWS certifications or related credentials
