Perform effective, efficient and timely material movements (electronically & Phyically) to support shipping/receiving/ Production operations.Principal Responsibilities
- Champion a safety driven culture. Ensure compliance with all safety and environment regulations.
- Lead safety initiatives.
- Utilize 5S and lean methodologies to maintain a safe, clean and organized workplace. Perform 5S audits to ensure that best practices are maintained.
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse/materials group.
- Identify quality issues related to materials/labeling/shipping/storage.
- Comply with cGMP and adhere to documented procedures as defined in Teleflex Quality Systems Procedures
- Work closely with internal logistics and external logistics teams.
- Maintain and review materials and shipping records to verify they are complete and accurate.
- Maintains accurate trace-ability records/documentation completed during the shipping/receiving process
- Maintain and reorder established quantities for lab and production areas. Accurately execute transactions in SAP to ensure inventory levels are correctly depicted.
- Develop standard work for the warehouse's daily activities.
- Monitors inventory shelf life and follows first-in-first-out (FIFO) principles
- Trains other department members as necessary
- Safely operates all material handling equipment
- Ensure warehouse related equipment is maintained within defined timelines. Coordinate with internal and external technicians.
- Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures and take timely corrective action, as necessary.
- Review department timecards and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Review applicable change orders (CO's) to related processes as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Completed High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years materials/warehouse experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of people leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to receive and execute work instruction, read. write and comprehend documents written in English
- Use of basic math and good oral and written communication skills required
- Highly organized
- Ability to work independently with limited direction supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP and tracking/material processing required
