- Technology Integration: Support and mentor faculty in effectively integrating technology across the Upper School curriculum
- Design and teach engaging technology-focused courses, such as computer science, programming, and digital media literacy, adapting the curriculum to meet student needs and school priorities.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to develop and implement innovative, technology-rich learning experiences that enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and collaboration.
- Offer comprehensive support to faculty in using technology effectively, including: lesson planning, co-teaching, troubleshooting technical issues, and curating relevant digital resources.
- Contribute to the school's strategic technology vision by collaborating with administrators and the Tech Team to ensure that technology integration aligns with school-wide goals and best practices in educational technology.
- Supervise the MERIT team, a small but mighty group of faculty technology liaisons who help design and deliver digital citizenship lessons.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Teaching expertise in technology, computer science, or related fields, with experience engaging high school students in meaningful and innovative learning experiences.
- A strong understanding of instructional technology tools, platforms, and best practices for curriculum integration.
- A passion for collaborative work with students, teachers, and administrators to foster a culture of creativity and innovation.
- Experience in coaching or leading professional development for educators, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to equity and inclusion, ensuring all learners and colleagues feel valued and supported.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and familiarity with 3D modeling tools, robotics platforms, and technical computing software.
- Experience with or interest in maintaining and managing technical equipment and classroom resources.
- Ability to support students in a BYOD environment, including troubleshooting common software and hardware issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable classroom environment.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and fabrication tools, such as 3D printers and laser cutters.
- Familiarity with current educational technology tools and platforms.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing engaging, project-based learning experiences.
