Pay Range: $17.00-$20.00/hour + 10% shift differential
Location: East Syracuse, NY
Shift: Full-Time, Third ShiftA long-established manufacturer specializing in prototyped and low-volume machined castings is seeking a Utility Operator to join its third shift team.Job Summary:Performs various support operations in plastics and finishing, including grit blasting, molding, secondary machining, sanding, and part preparation to meet production and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Grit blast plastic molded parts using appropriate equipmentPerform plastic molding and related department tasks as trainedConduct secondary operations: drilling, tapping (using flex arm, drills, Anilam machine), and fixture useMix filler and hardener per specifications; inspect and fill part voidsSand, polish, and finish parts to job instructionsVerify part counts and route components per traveler documentationMaintain quality and production standardsSupport ISO quality processes and the Syteline MIS systemFollow all safety procedures and use required PPEKeep work area clean and organizedPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAt least 6 months of experience in surface finishing preferredAbility to read and follow job travelers/specificationsStrong attention to detail and manual dexterityPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, reach, and handle parts/tools for extended periodsLift up to 35 lbs as neededBenefits Include:Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time401(k) with company match100% company-paid life insuranceMedical, dental, and vision insuranceSupplemental insurance (short-term disability, accident, cancer, critical care)Bonus and referral programsSafety awardsFree coffee available daily at in-house kiosksPay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
