This is a full-time, hourly position.Assignment
Potential assignments may include, but are not limited to:
  • Load/unload trucks or railcars
  • Deckhand duties assisting in the loading of barge freight
  • General housekeeping duties (i.e. - clean equipment and/or buildings)
  • Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed
Descriptions
Job Descriptions of assignment being exposed to:
  • Deckhand - Attaching/detaching cable from barges, and read draft measures on barge.
  • Sample grader - Grading commodities that are unloaded for the day and enter tickets into the computer.
  • Housekeeping - use of broom and or shovel to clean facility walkways, ledges, edges, and equipment.
  • Truck dumping - Unloading trucks and entering ticket information into computer.
  • Barge Loader -Maintaining the flow of commodities, adhering to safety protocols, strong understanding of loading procedures, conducting equipment inspections, and coordinating with various team members and harbor authorities.
