- Utilizes music, art, and dance activities to assist patients in meeting their treatment goals.
- Documents patient’s progress on treatment goals and maintains accurate records.
- Assesses reports from the psychiatrist, nurses, social workers, and others on the Treatment team to determine a patient’s functioning level.
- Actively engages patients during treatment sessions.
- Coordinates care interventions with other members of the treatment team.
- Helps patients reduce depression, stress, and anxiety during their hospital stay.
- Communicates effectively with patients, family, treatment team members.
- Designs life skill programs, leisure activities, and individualized programs that meet patients’ recovery needs.
- Active participant in treatment team meetings.
- Participates in all regulatory processes as directed.
Bachelor's degree or higher. Licensure as a certified recreational therapistMinimum Work Experience
