Duration: 24 MonthsJob Description:
  • We are seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to oversee and coordinate critical information technology projects supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
  • The ideal candidate must reside in or near Albuquerque, New Mexico, and be able to report onsite within three hours of request.
  • This role requires leadership in planning, managing, and reporting on project deliverables, with close coordination between NA-IM operations, cyber divisions, DOE IT Services, and the Integrated Project Team (IPT).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related activities, ensuring alignment with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Lead the management, coordination, and planning of tasks across technical, administrative, and managerial domains.
  • Collaborate with the COR and IPT, including participation in bi-weekly demonstrations and stakeholder meetings.
  • Deliver timely status updates, sprint demos, bug reports, and performance summaries within one business day post-sprint.
  • Maintain consistent reporting formats, approved by the COR, and deliver progress reports on request.
  • Coordinate across NA-IM, cyber operations, and DOE IT Services to support project delivery and stakeholder expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems or a related IT discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Systems/Technology, including 5 years managing cross-functional software engineering teams in support of DOE or NNSA.
  • Proven experience in agile software development methodologies and managing complex project lifecycles.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of DOE/NNSA IT policies, programs, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve or maintain CMMI Level 3 or higher accreditation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Agile, SAFe for Government, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with Personnel Vetting programs, policies, and processes.
  • Experience working within a federal government environment or directly with NNSA programs.
  • Familiarity with coordinating across diverse teams in security-sensitive environments.
Work Environment & Availability:
  • Candidate must be based in or around Albuquerque, NM and able to report onsite within three hours when requested.
