- Put away all product according to inventory control guidelines
- Cut the shrink wrap from pallets after they are placed in the proper bin location
- Wrap pallets to ensure stability, check pallet conditions, and stack safely for transport to storage
- Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies
- Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areas
- Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards
- Replenish empty pick bins
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Reach truck experience required
- Must be able to pass operational fork truck test with 80% or better
- Handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources
- Basic math skills to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbers
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as fall protection harnesses)
- Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)
- Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally
- Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment
- Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis
- Work safely up to 36 feet in the air in the rack system to fix dumped pallets on an occasional basis
- Build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 pounds
- Endurance for continuous, fast paced work
- Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit
- Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)
- Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)
- Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.
