- Lead or participate in all phases of the Epic Professional/Hospital Billing implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of system configurations with organizational goals and objectives.
- Configure and customize Epic Professional/Hospital Billing application to meet specific business requirements while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Utilize appropriate Epic tools for efficiency including but not limited to Sherlock, Orion, and Nova.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance system functionality, and improve revenue cycle performance.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Manage and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for system availability, incident response, and resolution times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Epic Professional/Hospital Billing application, working closely with technical teams as needed.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization, implementing adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
- Coordinate and participate in regular system maintenance activities, including updates, patches, and upgrades, to ensure system stability and security.
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to evaluate new features, functionalities, and upgrades, assessing potential impact and benefits for the organization.
- Provide expert-level support to end-users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and delivering solutions in a timely manner.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and sessions to educate end-users on system capabilities, best practices, and workflow efficiencies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all Epic Professional/Hospital Billing-related inquiries and escalations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports to monitor system performance, identify trends, and measure key performance indicators related to revenue cycle management.
- Bachelor's degree, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing (PB) or Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) required, additional certifications preferred (i.e. Claims, Benefits Engine).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing, optimizing, and/ or supporting Epic Professional Billing application in a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management processes, including charge capture, claims processing, and reimbursement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Epic system configuration, customization, and integration techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Electronic health record systems, specifically Epic software applications.
- Design, implementation, testing, updating, maintenance, evaluation, and analysis of system configuration, system setup, and application tables.
