POSITION SUMMARYThe primary responsibility of the Inbound Warehouse Associate (Receiver) is to ensure the accurate receipt, inspection, and processing of all inbound shipments and donations. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring proper storage of products in compliance with food safety standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, physical capability to handle various receiving tasks, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.COMPENSATION: $18.00 - $21.00 HourlyPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIESInbound Operations and Receiving:Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, donations, and deliveriesVerify shipment contents against delivery receipts, purchase orders, and donation manifestsAccurately count, weigh, and measure products to ensure proper inventory recordingIdentify and report damaged, expired, or substandard productsSort and organize received items by product type, expiration date, and storage requirementsAccurately received input into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)Update inventory levels in real-time using RF scanners and other tracking systemsMaintain proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principlesGenerate and maintain receiving reports and documentationEquipment Operation and Safety:Safely operate rider pallet jacks, forklift and other warehouse equipmentPerform pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needsFollow proper lifting techniques and use mechanical aids when handling heavy itemsMaintain clean and organized receiving areasQuality Control and Compliance:Inspect all received products for quality, safety, and compliance with food safety regulationsEnsure proper temperature control for perishable and frozen itemsReport food safety concerns and non-compliant products to supervisors immediatelyFollow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocolsAssist with regulatory inspections and compliance auditsCommunication and Coordination:Collaborate with warehouse, transportation, and procurement teamsCommunicate discrepancies, delays, or issues to appropriate personnelProvide receiving status updates to warehouse supervisors and managementDocument and report any incidents, damages, or safety concernsOther warehousing activities as required.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent (required).Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory management, or related rolesProficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).Skilled in operating forklift, and/or rider pallet jack.Knowledge and understanding of food safety regulations and OSHA standards.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively using various communication mediums: e-mail, written correspondence, phones, etc.Working knowledge of MS Suite; Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPointPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONSHours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 11a.m. – 8:00p.m. This position may work additional hours or weekends occasionally throughout the year, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons and disaster response.Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting with varying periods of standing, talking, and/or visual concentration, and use of office equipment. Must maintain office safety standards. Occasional work will occur in the warehouse or outside in fields and warehouses in inclement weather.
