Can't Attend? Apply Now!What you’ll do as an Assembler, Fabricator, or Machine Operator:
- Prepare and set up the press brake machine by loading the appropriate tooling, dies, and materials
- Regularly inspect bent components to verify dimensional accuracy and quality, using measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake tooling, ensuring they are in good condition and replacing them when necessary.
- Build assemblies to print, including mounting devices, wiring, and OHM testing panels, with guidance from electricians
- Read and interpret engineering and manufacturing documents, including bills of material, assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and work instructions
- Complete in-process quality checks and report non-conformances as needed
- Set up CNC machines, load tools, materials, and programs, ensuring calibration and accuracy
- Operate CNC and manual machines to perform milling, turning, drilling, and other processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, SOPs, and SolidWorks engineering documents
- Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product
- Maintain and operate hand tools necessary to set up, take apart, and operate the equipment
- Perform required quality control checks and inspections to ensure the product being manufactured is meeting required specifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related experience, including a manufacturing environment or general knowledge of metalworking, bending, and tooling
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation, frequent standing, bending, reaching (depending on position)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English as well as inspect parts and operate equipment safely (depending on position)
- Good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, self-motivated, and work effectively in a team environment
