• Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown Unit (4SE)
• Employment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: November 29, 2025
• Shift: 12 Hour Days
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680
• Unit Details: 28 beds, nurse-to-patient ratios 1:4-5, high acuity ICU stepdown patients

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio nursing license required for travel nurse jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or stepdown RN experience
• Ventilator experience required
• Experience with insulin drips and high-acuity patient care strongly preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
• Ability to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed (IMC, SDU, Med-Surg)

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze clinical data, and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and manage drips (including Cardizem, Amiodarone; no pressors)
• Provide care for patients with ventilators, tracheostomies, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, and Airvo devices
• Manage a diverse patient population: respiratory, renal, surgical, and trauma cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and education
• Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Float to other PCU, SDU, IMC, and lower levels of care as needed
• Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
