The Department of Biostatistics in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking two tenure-track or tenured faculty members, starting in Fall 2024. These 12-month full-time positions will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor depending on qualifications and experience. The department seeks exceptional candidates who can contribute to the academic and research enterprise of the department. The successful applicants will be expected to develop and maintain research programs supported by external funding and to be engaged in the teaching, mentoring, and service activities of the department.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsA doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and ExperienceApplicants should have broad research and teaching interests, the potential to direct PhD-level research, and the ability to engage in collaborative research with other faculty members at the University. The applicant should have excellent communication skills.
