We are hiring a Project Engineer to join our team at AGC Biologics’ Bothell, WA site. This role will manage and execute capital and strategic projects across manufacturing, engineering, and facilities to support business growth. The Project Engineer will work cross-functionally to coordinate resources, lead project teams, and ensure compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations in a biopharmaceutical environment. This position requires strong project management skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.Location: Bothell, WA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
Compensation: $124,320 – $170,940Essential Job Duties / ResponsibilitiesAct as liaison between Operations, Technical Services, and Quality to coordinate project activities involving manpower, equipment, and facility spaceLead project teams to develop plans, align resources, and deliver results meeting project scope, schedule, and budgetMonitor key project metrics and track resource utilization and forecastsEnsure adherence to company, site, and FDA regulations, with a focus on cGMP complianceManage project documentation, including plans, reports, and deliverablesParticipate in capital budget planning by proposing, justifying, and prioritizing projectsOversee and resolve technical issues or changes during project executionProvide regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadershipSupport facility and process design, technology transfer, and startup activitiesMentor cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, automation)Collaborate with Reliability Engineering to improve preventative maintenance programsLeadership SkillsStrong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with multi-level audiencesAbility to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and drive independent decision-makingQualifications
Required:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Biotechnology Engineering8+ years of relevant engineering and project management experience in biopharmaceutical or cell and gene therapy manufacturingProven ability to manage capital projects up to $10 millionWorking knowledge of GMP documentation, facility and equipment validation, and process optimizationExperience with process transfer and scale-up methodologiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS softwareStrong technical writing skills for reports and SOPsPreferred:PMP certificationLean Six Sigma certificationExperience with upstream/downstream unit operations such as centrifugation, filtration, chromatography, bioreactors, CIP/SIPExperience with cell and gene therapy manufacturing facility design and constructionOur culture at AGC Biologics is defined by the six core values: Knowledge, Trust, Quality, Ingenuity, Accountability and Teamwork.
