Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control daily operations through Shift Supervisors, Leads, and Terminal & Pipeline Operators.
  • Leading and working with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate, effective safety & security systems, risk assessments, periodical inspections & audits, operational training programs, planning, operational processes, and service delivery.
  • Oversee internal and external audits related to regulatory compliance which are conducted by Corporate Headquarters, Airline customers, DOT-Airports, the FAA, Crash Fire and Rescue, etc.
  • Diagnose problems, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Controller related components such as the ENRAF, SCADA, PDC's, and HMI's systems, etc.
  • Assist in developing and managing operations procedures and training manuals to include the Dock Operations Manual, Control Room Management Program, Integrity Management Program, Public Awareness Program, and facilities Operations Manual.
  • Manage compliance assurance system for operations related checks. Ensure all regulatory checks and are completed timely and accurately. Retain reporting as required
  • Ensure laboratory testing and certificates of analysis are completed to the ASTM 1655 standard and that all testing documentation is retained as required
  • Participate in root cause analyses process of accidents, incidents, or near misses. Discuss conclusions and recommend policy changes to Facility Manager.
  • Ensure Shift Supervisors and Operators are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to accomplish the operational tasks of the facilities.
  • Assist with the hiring of Operations personnel.
  • Develop Requests for Proposal on purchases of assets and services related to the operations and laboratory functions.
  • Conduct planning meetings to ensure operational efficiency with Shift Supervisors and Controllers
  • Review events and visitor logs to assess for operational issues and concerns.
Qualifications:Minimum Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent trade or technical school training; or 5 years of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Additional knowledge and skills:
  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures for operating fuel facilities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, one-lines, and schematics
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customer or employees of organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, loss/gains, inventories, inches/feet to gallons/barrels conversions, proportions, percentages, areas, weights, lengths, diameters, radius, circumferences, flow rates, pressures, voltage, amperes, watts, resistance, and volumes in standard and volumes in standard and metric
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram from
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing
  • Must hold a valid drivers' license
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
  • Ability to work as part of a team
