- Effectively train Concierge and Reception staff so that they are able to consistently provide service that meets the Hotel’s luxury service standards.
- Hold staff accountable to all Hotel and Spa policies/procedures.
- Assist with the creation of weekly Concierge and Reception schedules as requested/needed by Management.
- Manage and resolve guest complaints when possible; elevate larger issues to the attention of Spa Management when necessary.
- Monitor staff performance and, if necessary, inform Spa Management of any concerns regarding potential disciplinary actions.
- Communicate and engage with guests to ensure their experience was enjoyable.
- Review daily appointments for important information such as VIP status, group bookings, special events, promotional packages, etc.
- Answer phones promptly and professionally while maintaining a friendly tone.
- Possess excellent knowledge of internal computer systems used to book Spa appointments and make payments.
- Maintain excellent working knowledge of all Spa treatments in order to accurately answer guest inquiries.
- Help facilitate meetings for Concierge and Reception associates; collaborate with Spa Management on the content and execution of staff meetings.
- Ensure that the Front Desk of the Spa is always clean, organized, and prepared to make a good first impression.
- Treat Hotel associates with dignity and respect at all times, including in regards to scheduling, diversity, appreciation, and recognition.
- Other duties as requested by Manager.
- Has a passion for exceptional guest service and a desire to lead others by example.
- Has a cheerful, upbeat attitude but is also able to be firm and direct when necessary.
- Detail oriented and willing to help develop mechanisms to aid in quality control while also maintaining efficiency goals.
- Previous supervisory experience highly preferred, but not required.
- Must have open availability and be able to work weekends and holidays. Projected schedule will be a minimum of four (4) shifts/week, but the final candidate selected for this role will be required to assist with coverage of any understaffed Concierge/Reception shifts, as needed.
