Koniag Professional Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a TS/SCI clearance to support KPS and our government customer in Warrenton, VA. This position will be required to report onsite at the Warrenton, VA location 5-days a week. Some CONUS travel in support of the Government Customer may be required.We offer competitive compensation and an extraordinary benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, 401K with company matching, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, three weeks paid time off, and more.KPS is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, risk mitigation strategies, and communication frameworks.
  • Leads and manages the technical quality assurance, schedule management (and critical path analysis), cost data analysis, progress/status reporting and program reviews.
  • Creates, maintains, and continuously updates an Integrated Master Schedule for all tasks and projects.
  • Prepares and executes meetings and decision boards with tailored action items and program visualization charts.
  • Develops project schedules that address strategic planning objectives and identifies key execution milestones.
  • Provides recommendations to the Government for corrective actions to keep projects on time.
  • Leads and coordinates project teams across various functional areas to ensure successful and timely delivery of all project deliverables.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain critical IT project work products (e.g., project charters, WBS, project plans), ensuring alignment with program management documentation
  • Uses project management tools to track progress, monitor task completion, and manage dependencies.
  • Manages budgets, timelines, and contractual deliverables in alignment with organizational and client requirements.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for stakeholder communications, ensuring regular updates to leadership, clients, and end users.
  • Prepares and deliver project status reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, and risks.
  • Proactively identifies project risks and issues; develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Leads the identification, analysis, mitigation planning and implementation, and tracking of all project risks and issues.
  • Ensures all project activities are compliant with DISA policies and procedures, industry standards, and applicable DoD regulations.
  • Conducts post-project reviews and continuous improvement assessments to enhance future project delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Extensive experience with IT project management, overseeing projects or initiatives that span multiple functional areas or disciplines.
  • Knowledge of program governance, enterprise-level portfolio management, and/or strategic planning frameworks
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, and resources for complex programs, including risk and change management.
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule for multiple tasks and projects.
  • Extensive experience developing program visualization charts.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and delegate tasks effectively across various workstreams.
  • Proficient in program planning, resource allocation, stakeholder communication, and performance tracking.
  • Experience coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Solid understanding of risk management, program evaluation, and continuous process improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in developing and delivering reports and status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with classified systems and environments
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
  • Proven stakeholder management and effective communication strategies with clients and senior management.
  • Ability to take a conceptual discussion and build a presentation to convey the message to senior leaders.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Advanced MS Sharepoint, Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient MS Teams, Excel and Outlook application skills
Desired Skills:
  • Prior Federal government, professional services or Federal consulting experience
  • Professional Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Lean, Scrum, SAFe, Agile
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, methodology, techniques, and technologies, as well as cloud architecture.
  • Experience performing on projects of similar size and scope.
  • Project or program management certification, such as PMP (Project Management
  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, Primavera, or Asana.
Education:
  • Bachelors’s Degree in a related field

  • To be considered, must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI access.
