- Oversees servers, workstations, printers, desk phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, wireless networks, switches, and patching to ensure efficiencies and limited down time.
- Manages installations and upgrades of computer components and software, virtual servers and integration automation processes.
- Develops, modifies, and utilizes database tables, forms, queries and reports.
- Performs and maintains database replication.
- Conducts server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, researching event log warnings and errors, resource monitoring, and ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Monitors datacenter health using preexisting management tools and assists the property with SQL related issues including building testing and maintaining new servers as needed.
- Performs routine and scheduled systems audits.
- Trains and develops staff on corporate systems, application changes and new technologies.
- Runs monthly server maintenance and updates.
- Maintains internal infrastructure requirements on all hardware.
- Supports internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments as needed.
- Interacts with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identification of root cause, and provides additional technical support when needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
- Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
- Must have valid driver's license and adequate transportation for travel between casino locations.
- 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, database operations, “SSIS, SSMS, SSAS, and SSRS” and knowledge of SQL programming language.
- Working knowledge of virtualization, Hyper-V, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, servers, and network management.
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft products including exchange on premises.
- Experience working with domain controllers, DNS, Group Policy, and DHCP Protocols.
- Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Knowledge of enterprise level relational database systems.
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
- Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
- Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
