- Lead syndication process for co-investments to investor clients across all alternatives investment strategies (private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainable investing) on a deal by deal basis
- Structure investment transactions - alongside investment deal teams - to address commercial, legal, accounting, tax and regulatory considerations for investor clients and GS
- Market investment opportunities to investor clients
- Manage preparation of deal-related marketing materials and analyses
- Work with investment deal teams to respond to deal related questions from investor clients
- Participate in syndication approval and investment allocation processes
- Negotiate commercial and legal agreements with investor clients
- Coordinate with investment deals teams and execution teams to facilitate closing of syndication process
- Track co-investment activity by deal and by investor; prepare analyses/updates on co-investor relationships and activity levels for senior AMM and firm leadership
- 5-7 years in a similar or related role, previous experience in investment banking, alternatives investing or fundraising
- Understanding of financial and credit analysis, valuation and primary fundamental research, and their application in investment decisions and transaction structuring is a plus
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead various constituencies to a common objective
- Candidate must be a team player and self-motivated
- Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks / simultaneous projects and work well in high pressure situations with tight timeframes
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.Benefits
