- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses
- Maintenance of books and records, recording of transactions and accruals, and oversee all aspects of accounting, including treasury, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.
- Provide GAAP guidance and support within the company; provide recommendations to leadership as needed
- Review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure records adhere to company policies and GAAP
- Assist in identification and underwriting of new investment opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key capital markets firms. Lead and track equity and debt financing activities.
- Oversee lender reporting and compliance, oversee team tracking and adherence to reporting deadlines
- Drive continuous improvement with financial reporting accuracy through ongoing reconciliation and variance analysis reporting.
- Lead and execute ad-hoc projects and analyses as directed by senior leadership
- CPA and/or Masters strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of real estate investment ventures and the real estate development process
- Process improvement minded professional who is always looking to improve efficiency and accuracy of the finance function.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong understanding of real estate multifamily financial metrics. Understands internal/external market activity and knowledgeable on overall housing market trends
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
