- Lead and manage cross-disciplined project teams comprised of engineers, vendors, subcontractors, owners, suppliers, and any other project stakeholders throughout the execution of the project(s).
- Establish and nurture professional relationships with clients, project stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to timelines.
- Review and approve construction-related proposals, subcontractor invoices, and project-specific documents.
- Conduct constructability reviews, evaluate site arrangements, and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols and standards.
- Participate in evaluation of construction bids, recommend selections, and provide input on subcontractor schedules.
- Manage project costs, schedules, and performance metrics to ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with senior-level client project sponsors, addressing concerns and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Prepare conceptual process and layout drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, engineering best practices, and EAD standards.
- Create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Communicate with process and mechanical equipment vendors.
- Develop and design equipment and piping layouts.
- Participate in discipline-specific and company-wide business development efforts.
- Interface with clients, vendors, construction administrators, and project teams.
- Conduct and document technical design reviews with other disciplines to ensure the highest level of quality.
- Adhere to all EAD safety standards and practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in engineering and/or project management.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and process engineering fundamentals.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and in-house staff.
- Proficiency in Excel, including the use of macros.
- Ability to troubleshoot process and operational problems and provide solutions.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Have a demonstrated ability to solicit, evaluate and manage the price, schedule and quality of objectives of individual projects
- Understand the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
- Understand project cost control and change order management
- Have the ability to prioritize large volumes of complex work to meet established deadlines
- OSHA 30 certification will need to gain within the first two weeks
- PMP certified is a plus or ability to obtain
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Proven leadership ability and detail oriented
- Excellent time management and problems solving skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Possess dispute resolution skills
- Proven safety knowledge and skills
- Possess and able to maintain a valid driver's license
- Travel is required with frequent travel to client sites throughout the United States
- Office, plant, or client site environment, work and exposure to extreme conditions*
- Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs and/or work in confined spaces
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and equipment*
- Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals*
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud*
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs*
- Periodic weekend, holiday or evening work as needed
