Our dedicated, experienced, and talented employees work closely with our clients to ensure the delivery of exceptional services and products.POSITION OVERVIEWHeadquarters Pacific Air Forces (HQ PACAF) participates in and is responsible for over 40 Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) and component exercises and events conducted with allied countries throughout the Indo-Pacific region each year. Additional events include multiple Building Partnership Capacity (BPC) events, engagements, aerial events, and tradeshows that occur each year. These exercises, BPC engagements, and aerial events/tradeshows provide essential insight into managing our technology investments, improving and maintaining the combat capability of U.S. forces, and furthering US Indo-Pacific Command's (USINDOPACOM) Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) strategy within the region. HQ PACAF is the Organization Coordinating the Exercise (OCE) for several JCS exercises. HQ PACAF is tasked with developing and maintaining Operational Plans (OPLANs) that cover several different contingencies within the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).The work consists of planning operations and logistics, which requires a thorough analysis of exercise objectives & tasks, PACAF units' capabilities, deployment requirements, forward operating location(s) assessments, and resource constraints. Typical assignments require developing detailed plans, milestones, documents, and maintaining budgets; organizing and managing multi- functional USAF, Joint and Combined teams; responding to requests for information; and developing options, recommendations, and analysis.The Logistics Planner will support PACAF as a logistics support planner for exercise requirements as they pertain to operations within the USINDOPACOM area of operations. The Contractor will be assigned responsibility for support and planning of both INDOPACOM and PACAF exercises and events as required.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Logistics Planner shall lead various workgroups pursuant to OPLAN development and be expected to support peers and military superiors in analysis and military decision making.
  • Provide detailed analysis to integrate those current assets that reside within theater and recommend additional forces as required for operational development.
  • May be required to travel to various OCONUS/CONUS locations to support emerging mission requirements. Will quantify life support requirements and translate these into estimates for submission to engineering planners.
  • May be required to support numerous simultaneous requirements and ensure that personnel are available to provide adequate representation to the command during times of high OPSTEMPO.
  • Shall plan/coordinate logistics support for operations and exercises affecting the current and long-range operations. Prepares logistics estimates and other products to provide required logistics supply, service, and other life support for OPLAN development.
  • Shall attend, participate in, and support the administration, planning and execution of conferences and exercises in support of JCS and INDOPACOM Operational planning. Possesses a functional understanding of the JOPES and monitors OPLAN/exercise data requirements necessary to formulate and submit TPFDD information, meeting applicable deadlines.
  • Shall provide advice, recommendations, and briefings to staff principals, agency chiefs, and external organizations on operations and exercise design activities.
  • Shall assist PACAF/A37 to determine the best possible logistics solutions to support operations to minimize costs and meet required timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance
  • Must have working knowledge of logistics planning with a minimum of 3 years hands on experience.
  • Have strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Have excellent organizational abilities and a self-starting personality.
  • Be able to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
  • Have working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be familiar with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) cycles of specific exercises and be able to plan and coordinate required events in support of the JELC. Work with and be assigned to the current A4 Logistics team that resides in A37.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of all facets of sustainment and its integration to develop detailed concepts commensurate with presentation at the MAJCOM and COCOM levels. Additionally, the Planner shall relate those concepts into detailed executable plans and create TPFDD to support mobilization of assets.
  • Possess a functional understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and assist in administration, budget, planning, logistics estimates, concepts of support, and coordination with joint service component commands and subordinate headquarters.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a MAJCOM or higher-level command staff is highly desirable.
  • Experience with exercise-planning systems such as JTIMS, ARMS, CAF-SIPT, and/or C2IE is preferred.
