This position will be located in Clearfield, UT. You will be part of an Integrated Product Team supporting production by creating manufacturing software using 3D model based definition.Responsibilities:Creating, maintaining, supporting and continuing development of software that supports:Automated manufacturing machines and systemsManual manufacturing processesUnderstand customer product/technical requirements and ensure successful project development and executionMaintains technical standards for project/programsSupport lean manufacturing and process flow optimization activitiesSupporting production in using manufacturing equipment and assist maintenance personnel as needed when troubleshooting and/or repairingAssist R&D programs to improve system capabilities and bring new ideas and technology into projects and pursuitsStays informed of technical advances through education, training, etc.Our team enjoys a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaboration across all levels. We work independently but interact constantly with other engineering groups and manufacturing to achieve expectations. Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive suite of benefits, and we have won awards for our work-life balance!This role may be filled at an Engineer Software or Principal Engineer Software level based on the qualifications outlined below.Basic Qualifications for Software Engineer:Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 2 years of related work experience; or a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.Basic Qualifications for Principal Software Engineer:Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 5 years of related work experience; or a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related work experience; or a PhD in a STEM discipline.Working knowledge of NX and/or CATIAMust have an active DoD Secret clearance.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in 3D modelingExperience in manufacturing processesExperience with Microsoft Windows and MS Office SuiteExperience with solid models and complex geometryWorking knowledge of Siemens FiberSIMLaser Projection Experience (Virtek LaserEdge preferred)Pattern Cutting Nesting Experience (TruNest preferred)What We Offer:At Northrop Grumman, we are on the cutting edge of innovation -- building the next generation of sophisticated aircraft to protect our country. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
