DescriptionThe Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Lead is responsible for testing and approving raw materials and manufactured products in accordance with standard procedures and specifications. This role ensures product quality through inspections at various production stages and statistical data evaluation. The QC Lead also coordinates shift activities and assumes supervisory responsibilities when appropriate. Essential Functions Coordinate daily lab activities and train new and existing staff. Disseminate relevant information to lab peers via meetings and development sessions. Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and finished products. Perform First Piece Inspections and in-process audits. Collect samples for analytical testing (raw, validation, in-process, finished). Support environmental monitoring and cleaning process validation. Calibrate, clean, and maintain lab equipment. Maintain inventory and ensure lab cleanliness and biohazard removal. Troubleshoot and resolve common lab issues. Release products and generate certificates of analysis/conformance. Follow health and safety protocols. Additional Responsibilities Assist with product development validations and routine testing. Coordinate external lab sample submissions. Participate in Out of Specification investigations and corrective actions. Contribute to documentation updates and reviews.
