- Monitor cannabis process controls from various stages of production per established standard operating procedures and product specifications.
- Assess a range of process activities to determine the quality, potency, and safety of cannabis products. Common assessments against process related SOP's and specifications include:
- Incoming materials inspection
- Monitoring of process controls for cultivation, post-harvest, finished good assembly, and fulfillment labeling.
- cGMP compliance and facility audits
- Ingredient and product handling and storge
- Environmental, chemical, pest, and sanitation monitoring
- Complaint trending and root cause analysis
- Product hold, release, disposition, and traceability assessments
- Operate and maintain a variety of monitoring equipment and instruments used in testing, such as ATP, PAR, CO2 meters and other analytical tools.
- Accurately record and document monitoring results, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Ensure that all data is maintained in compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Perform routine equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate and reliable results as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the quality control program and quality related tasks, which may include developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), participating in method validation, and monitoring process conditions.
- Stay up to date with local and state regulations related to cannabis testing and quality control. Ensuring all testing activities comply with relevant legal and industry requirements.
- Keep track of testing supplies and reagents, order necessary consumables, and maintain an organized inventory system.
- Work collaboratively with other team members, including analysts, lab managers, and production staff, to communicate results and address any quality-related concerns.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines to protect against potential hazards.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to be badged for work in a cannabis facility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cannabis, food, or pharmaceutical cultivation or manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with cannabis and its associated compounds is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality control and assurance principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
- Ability to work in a highly regulated and compliant environment.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
