In this vital role as Executive Medical Director, US Medical Affairs Lead, you will be accountable for the development and execution of the US medical affairs strategy for the Thyroid Eye Disease franchise (teprotumumab-trbw/TEPEZZA) and pipeline with the objective of maximizing Amgen’s value proposition.TEPEZZA® (teprotumumab-trbw) is the first and only FDA-approved therapy for Thyroid Eye Disease (TED), a serious, progressive, and potentially vision-threatening autoimmune condition. TEPEZZA is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets and inhibits the insulin-like growth factor-1 receptor (IGF-1R), a key driver of TED pathophysiology. By blocking IGF-1R signaling, TEPEZZA has been shown to reduce inflammation, orbital tissue expansion, and proptosis, improving both functional and quality-of-life outcomes.Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy and safety across patients with active and chronic low–clinical activity score (CAS) TED, highlighting its broad impact on disease management.
