- Help with the setup of new PLC systems and components.
- Diagnosing and repairing problems with electrical and control systems
- Performing regular inspection and preventative maintenance on PLC-controlled equipment.
- Making adjustment to PLC programs, especially those with less complex requirements.
- Recording work performed and system changes accurately.
- Working with other technicians, engineers, and production staff to resolve issues mainly around VFD drives, relay logic, and all controls.
- Continuously developing skills and knowledge in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Supports maintenance and/or repair of equipment as needed.
- Assists with implementation and/or monitoring of SOP's and ensures location staff is trained to standard.
- Assists implementation of equipment upgrades.
- Assists with development of automation opportunities for manufacturing equipment or processes.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
- Basic experience around electrical components and electrical systems.
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with basic computer knowledge
- PLC and/or Control classes.
