Manage critical technology operations and instruments for a power plant that services 2.4 million electric customers-overseeing the computer networking, server management, and operating systems to ensure seamless functioning and performance.
Conduct system assessments and diagnostics, including deploying and troubleshooting automation systems from industry-leading vendors such as ABB, GE Automation, Emerson Ovation, Emerson EDS, Aveva PI and PI Vision, Rosemont Solutions, Siemens, and Rockwell
Coordinate with the operations and technical staff on troubleshooting and engineering to ensure the seamless integration of industrial automation systems, encompassing motor control circuits, power supplies, PLCs, and other essential components.
Responsible for installation and configuration of system hardware and software-overseeing the deployment process and managing ongoing upgrades and updates.
Implement information security measures including antivirus management, whitelisting, blacklisting, and configuration management-ensuring compliance with corporate cybersecurity standards and safeguarding critical infrastructure against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

The key skills for this resource will be:

VMWare vSphere, including vSAN, ESXi, and vCenter. Hyper-V experience is a plus
Basic understanding of networking, such as switches, firewalls, routers, and network ports (TCP, UDP)
Server management (hardware and software)
Experience supporting Dell Servers is a plus
Experience with Operating Systems, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and patching
Experience supporting software patching, antivirus management, whitelisting, blacklisting, configuration management, network and system monitoring, or security and event monitoring
Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python is a plus
