Role: Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Duluth, GA – Onsite
Compensation: Up to $30/hourWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing construction company on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is part of a new shared services team supporting multiple regional offices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment.Responsibilities:
  • Review, enter, and process vendor invoices for payment
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare payments (check, ACH, wire) and ensure adherence to terms
  • Maintain accurate AP records and vendor information
  • Monitor AP aging reports and vendor statements for timely payments
  • Record employee and company credit card expenses
  • Collaborate with regional accountants and vendors to resolve payment issues
  • Assist with developing policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls
  • Provide support to other accounting and finance functions as needed
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience (required)
  • Strong vendor management skills and ability to meet payment deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to change in a growing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
