E4H Architecture is a 100% healthcare and health sciences firm dedicated to creating flexible, creative environments that enhance health and well-being.We are actively hiring a Principal- Health Science Architecture for our Boston Office. The Principal will serve as a leader in the firm and will be responsible for cultivating relationships with clients and ensuring company teams meet project expectations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serve as the leader to the project team. Guide the owner, internal team, and consultants by unifying all goals throughout the project for timely execution of deliverables through oversight of project scope/schedule/budget.
  • Responsible for project management function and team success.
  • Maintain a healthy relationship and communication with the owner.
  • Serve as the owner’s trusted advisor.
  • Handle high level and difficult conversations with client.
  • Lead clients in long-term planning of future projects.
  • Manage owner/architect agreements process with owner.
  • Facilitate negotiation and in-house contracts team for all consultant agreements prior to starting work.
  • Mitigate risk and make decisions in the best interest of the firm.
  • Responsible for developing revenue projection and discussing cash flow with client.
  • Responsible for scheduling, managing, and leading all meetings with client representatives (users & facilities staff).
  • Attend and present as necessary at client meetings.
  • The Principal is accountable for the designated responsibilities as specified in the project leadership responsibility matrix.
  • Attend all meetings with designated client leadership and convey information to Project Manager, Project Architect or Project Leader.
  • Act as communication liaison between client and project team.
  • Mentor a team of technical/design-oriented professionals by exposing each member to the processes and tasks necessary to encourage well rounded development.
  • Responsible for the financial success of the project.
  • Procure resources for new projects.
  • Ensure overall quality assurance of all project deliverables.
  • Maintain proficiency regarding building materials, construction methods, cost, codes and regulatory requirements in collaboration with Project Practice.
  • When licensed, maintain licensure and serve as the Architect of Records.
  • If not licensed, facilitate the designation of the Project Architect as the Architect of Records.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Cultivate client relationships.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to execute business development goals.
  • Participate in the RFQ and interview process for new business.
  • Represent brand at marketing conferences, conventions, and client functions.
