
Public Safety Assistant (Non-Exempt)

- Assistants work 8 1/2 hour shifts that are placed on a variable schedule.
- Badge Production utilizing System Administration for developing new-hire badges, replacing/printing replacement badges, modifying access levels and groups. Assuring timely delivery, pulling audit reports, assisting coworkers in real time as required.
- Shift duties include, but are not limited to: Manage access to the Hospital, ED, Construction Areas, Maternal Child Unit and other locked down units by utilizing the Easy Lobby visitor management system and/or Lenel; Writing detailed reports on significant events; Maintaining a high level of training on; Easy Lobby visitor management system; multi line phone system; infant protection system (HUGs), video public safety system (Genetec), door access system, Evolv weapons detection system, and fire alarm protection system; Assist Department of Family Services with child custody issues as may be required; Have a detailed understanding of Report Exec Reporting system.Qualifications:
- Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Licensure: None.
- Experience: One (1) year experience in customer service position preferred. Experience operating computer preferred.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Good organizational skills with a demonstrated skill in human relations and communications.
- Basic computer skills required
- Knowledge: Required training includes but is not limited to: CPR, AED, Communications, and Surveillance.
- Technical training includes end user training on basic computer, video management system, door access system, infant and child protection system, report-dispatch system, Evolv weapons detection system and visitor management system.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have a valid driver's license and pass all security and background checks.
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications and ability to type.
