- Design, deploy, and maintain multi-tier infrastructure in Microsoft Azure with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
- Administer AKS clusters, integrate Istio service mesh, and manage ingress/egress with Azure Application Gateway and related load-balancing solutions.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure networking components (VNets, Subnets, NSGs, UDRs, Application Gateways, Azure Firewall, Private Link, ExpressRoute, VPN Connectivity, etc.).
- Participate in hybrid-cloud initiatives facilitating application integration from on-premises to the cloud.
- Enforce Azure security best practices: Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, encryption (Key Vault, Disk Encryption), and network segmentation.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAA.
- Collaborate with security teams to safeguard AKS workloads and secure Azure networking.
- Build and maintain Terraform modules and PowerShell scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Use GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools to streamline deployments and implement IaC practices.
- Apply configuration management for repeatable, auditable Azure environments.
- Monitoring & Performance
- Employ tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, or Container Insights to maintain observability.
- Troubleshoot performance issues within AKS and Azure services.
- Implement cost-optimization strategies for compute, storage, and networking.
- Partner with DevOps, development, and network teams to support cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex Azure infrastructure issues.
- Lead initiatives to improve platform stability and streamline infrastructure operations.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and on-premises environments.
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud platform and knowledge of on-prem technologies (VMware, Windows, Linux, bare metal servers).
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and serverless computing.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical system upgrades or incidents.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with containerization, Kubernetes networking, and zero-trust architecture.
