- Ability to report to work in a timely manner as scheduled by supervisor.
- Repair and overhaul equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devises and other similar machinery.
- Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
- Maintain legible corporate and personal records of work history.
- Provide general repair work on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors and electric motors.
- Provide preventative maintenance activities; diagnose equipment malfunctions and operating efficiency of mechanical equipment.
- Perform work on minor construction and remodeling projects including startups of new installations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years’ work experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration.
- Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience, supermarket stores, industrial chillers and cooling towers.
- Expert knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the refrigeration, HVAC and electrical trade.
- Expert knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC theory and application.
- Expert knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Expert knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system.
- Expert knowledge of water flow, water cooled equipment and controls.
- Expert knowledge of air flow and pressure.
- Expert knowledge of different types of centrifugal compressors, piston compressors, screw compressors.
- Expert knowledge of evaporative and cooling towers, chillers and purging unit.
- Expert knowledge of ammonia systems.
- Expert skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
- Understands quality management system and safety procedures.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to supervise team members.
- Ability to bid jobs and make material/equipment lists.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Good driving record.
- Valid driver’s license required at all times.
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
- Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
